If you missed my last post, we’re in the middle of a fresher’s guide to clubbing in London extravaganza.

There’s a lot to pack in to this one so I’m just gonna get straight to it! In no particular order…

LN Review Top 10 Central London Student Clubbing Venues

1. Notting Hill Arts Club

This is one of the best from London’s underground club scene, diverse taste in music, and so arty and eclectic, you never really know what you’re going to get.

Where? Notting Hill Gate, London, W11 3JQ
£££? Pre-booked tickets as low as £2.50 but I’ve also paid £8 for standard entry after 11pm
Open ‘til? Usually 2am

2. Fabric London

Fabric has a huge reputation, voted no.4 in the ‘100 Best Clubs in the World’ to be exact. If you love techno and house this is definitely the place for you. Check out what’s on before you go as well because they always have some of the best DJ talent around!

Where? Farringdon, London, EC1M 6HJ
£££? Discounted/free entry for UK Students before 12am (depending on the event) but otherwise, entry can be up to £25!
Open ‘til?

3. Tiger Tiger Piccadilly

If you think you know Tiger Tiger, you’ve seen nothing until you’ve experienced the London venue. It’s one of the biggest in Europe and with 6 different rooms all with a different eclectic taste in music, you’re totally spoilt for choice.

Where? Piccadilly, London, SW1Y 4SP
£££? £7.50 VIP Entry until midnight
Open ‘til? 3am

4. Zoo Bar

This is one of my absolute favourites. From what my fuzzy memory can recall, it’s split into different areas so you’ve got a bar scene and a club scene. So you can move from ‘chilled’ to ‘wild’ at your leisure. The main area is downstairs and it’s huuuuge! They don’t really have a ‘type’ either so if you like meeting cool new people, ‘tis the place!

Where? Leicester Square, London WC2H 7AQ
£££? Free entry on their guest list
Open ‘til? 3am

5. KOKO Camden

Ok… this is different, but it’s awesome. Basically it used to be Camden Palace and they’ve not really done anything with the theatre architecture since so the result quirky, vintage and almost quite beautiful! Contemporary music scene and a very student friendly
Where? Camden, London NW1 7JE
£££? This one seems to vary the most I think. Depending on the event, sometimes you can get in for free before 10.30pm (£10 from then on), but I’ve also seen events sell for upwards of £25! Choose your date wisely!
Open ‘til? 4am

6. Proud Camden

If you went back to the 19th Century, you would be standing in a horse hospital…

… and they’ve kept the stables!

They also have a Proud Student membership, which is free to register. You get lots of different perks such as discounted entry for you and two student friends, entry via a guest list (no need to queue) plus, exclusive invites to free parties!

Where? Chalk Farm, London, NW1 8AH
£££? Tickets from £5 when pre-booked
Open ‘til? 2.30am (12am on off-peak nights)

7. XOYO

Experience the unique flavour of Shoreditch – a wicked basement club with two areas and an upstairs bar! XOYO is a great place to catch live artists during the week when it’s not a buzzing Saturday night.

Where? Old Street, London, EC2A 4AP
£££? Upwards of £5 depending on day of the week/ event.
Open ‘til? 3am

8. Corsica Studios

This has got to be my favourite warehouse venue. You can’t be a student and not give Corsica studios a try. With such a wide range of eclectic music tastes from night to night, you’ll definitely find something you love here.

Where? Elephant and Castle, London, SE17 1LB
£££? Tickets average £5-£10 advanced booking
Open ‘til? 7am

9. Bar Rumba

This is the best for chart hits, party anthems and super-generous drink promotions – great for large groups! Catch them on a themed night for even more fun but no matter when you go, bar rumba is a happy place.

2-4-1 drinks until midnight on fri/sat/sun

Where? Leicester Square, London, W1D 7EP
£££? £5 weekend entry with a wristband
Open ‘til? 3am

10. Maddox

This is a posh night you’ll never forget! Maddox is great for birthdays and events that require a little more of an edge than a standard Friday night. They’re more female friendly than male (whoops! see below!) To make the most of Maddox, pre-book and join them on one of their awesome party nights.
Where? Oxford Circus, London W1S 2AU
£££? Free for ladies until midnight, £20 for gentlemen all night (blimey!)
Open ‘til? 3am
