Get ready for a cocktail mania as the biggest, most exciting cocktail party in London hosted by DrinkUp. London comes back for the seventh year! London Cocktail Week is a festival that brings together and celebrates the best of London’s cocktails and the great bars and brands which make up part of its interesting and vibrant scene. At this year’s London Cocktail Week which will run from October 3 to 9, 2016, discover delicious cocktails and learn how to mix exquisite cocktails alongside other cocktail aficionados.

The festival offers much more than just making a round of the bars, it offers exciting and stimulating events that participants can learn from. The events include tastings, masterclasses and distillery tours. Whether you are an expert when it comes to drinks and cocktails or a newbie, there is an event for everyone during the festival.
With just a £10 wristband you get access to over 200 bars, pop-ups and restaurants that will be serving £5 cocktails as well as special offers over the course of seven days. When you get the wristband, you also get the free London Cocktail Week guide, access to the Cocktail Village and central hub.

This year the cocktail festival has two main hubs with the Cocktail Village returning to Old Spitalfields Market which will be transformed into a space tailored for 39 pop-up stalls and more. The second hub for the London Cocktail Week is the World Class House in Piccadilly Circus. The World Class House, which provides for five stories of mixology wonder will play host to even more brand experiences, mixes, events and flavours, and workshops.

These mini havens are all created by some of the best bars, restaurants, brands and distilleries of London that DrinkUp.London is collaborating with and include some top names, such as Bacardi Rum and Tia Maria which will also be participating in this year’s festival. With the festival playing host to this fantastic mix of bars, the most versatile and expert bar-tenders from all over the world, events and pop-ups, choosing will be a hard task and will have to be done wisely.

Special events to consider making room on your schedule for are masterclasses from the Patron Cocktail Lab’s internationally renowned bartenders from across the globe who will concoct carefully crafted cocktails motivated by their native city, rooftop gin masterclasses with Fever-Tree and an LA takeover. Other events, sites and experiences to plan for include standard cocktails made with dated liquor at Peg+Patriot, the Winking Pig’s Britvic drinking den using the top British spirits alongside House of Peroni which offers Italian spirits, pointing to the love their creators have for Italy, combining them with beer and the country’s indigenous ingredients.

You will find The Cocktail Village at the Old Spitalfields Market open on Monday 5.00 – 9.30pm, Tuesday -Saturday midday – 9.30pm and Sunday midday – 7pm and at the World Class House open Monday –Saturday midday – 1.00am.
